About Us
Emerald Estate Sales is a full service estate sale company operating throughout the Northern Virginia, Maryland, and Washington DC metropolitan area.
Emerald Estate Sales was established in 1995 by Margaret "Peggy" Burds after experiencing that phenomenon of the nineties, "downsizing". After 25 years in medical management, Peggy decided it was finally time to follow her dream and Emerald Estate Sales was launched.
The complement of our staff bring to Emerald Estate Sales a collective experience of 75 years in the sale of antiques, collectibles, furniture, and household items.
Emerald Estate Sales utilizes varying marketing techniques which include weekly email newsletters, Estatesales.net listings, GoogleAds, Facebook ads, Craigslist listings, Instagram, and word of mouth to reach anyone and everyone interested in attending an upcoming sale.
